God is not only good but he is also gentle and affectionate

I received Jesus into my life in a very confused life situation in 1996. I came to the church and heard that God is good. In many ways my life started to take a turn for the better. But what no one could tell me or what I just couldn’t hear was that God is not only good but he is also gentle and affectionate.

A few years earlier in the army, reading my pocket-sized New Testament, I noticed in Luke 15:20 how God wants to wrap his arms around everyone who comes to him. At that time I hadn’t yet had the experience of the Father’s embrace.

In 2006 I came to my first Fatherheart A school in Kouvola. During that week I had a revelation that we as humanity are now living in a special time, when God is revealing himself as Father. This is where my journey to the Father’s heart began, and with that I’ve come to understand that it’s not about an experience, but about a place where we live our Christian life. It’s about being in the Father’s bosom, his arms wrapped around me.

Now I’m learning to live as a son to God the Father, just as Jesus lived – in the very place where Jesus was and now is. I believe very strongly and see in the Bible that this is what the church and the whole world need right now. This is the key to the whole Christianity, the likeness of Jesus. That’s why I want to tell you what has happened to me. God is your Father, too, and he loves you with his tender and gentle love.
