Fatherheart Finland

Fatherheart Finland is part of the Fatherheart Ministries which is led by James and Denise Jordan from New Zealand. Since 1997 Fatherheart Ministries has organized conferences and, more recently, has developed and run ‘schools’. In Finland, the first Fatherheart conference took place in 2003 and Fatherheart schools have been running since 2005. Over the years these conferences and schools have had a great impact on the lives of both individuals and churches, as the foundations of our hearts and an intimate relationship with God as Father has been restored. As a result of these conferences and schools we have really begun to see “the turning of the fathers’ hearts to their children“. Pastors and others who minister in churches have experienced a complete change in their ministry as a result of receiving the revelation of Father’s love.

The aim of Fatherheart Finland is to present God as the perfect Father who loves all people with his unconditional love. Our desire is to support and strengthen individuals and churches. “The gospel can be summarized in sentence: it is all about a Father who lost his children and has done everything to have them back. Jesus said, ‘No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them.So Jesus came to show us who the Father is“, (Pekka Daniel and Marjut Rimpeläinen).

Central to the work of Fatherheart Finland are the week long Fatherheart Schools, where we teach about the fatherheart of God. During these weeks, the most important things are to lay a strong biblical foundation for the revelation of the Father and to give participants the opportunity to have a personal experience of his love. The school weeks are open to all Christians.

Additionally, Fatherheart Finland organizes Fatherheart conferences all over Finland (co-operating with local churches where possible), and arranges other Fatherheart events, such as special events for men and women and conferences for pastors. These conferences and events are open to all Christians. Fatherheart Ministries ‘B’ Schools, Going Deeper events and weekends for married couples take place annually and are available to those who have attended Fatherheart ‘A’ Schools. The aim of these events is to deepen the biblical revelation and to help us walk as sons and daughters in the same way as Jesus did. The ministry of Jesus as our example

After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.” (John 17:1) Jesus spoke these words when his ministry was almost finished. He is praying to his Father. These are some of his last words before he goes to the cross, and they describe his ministry on earth in a nutshell. At the end of his prayer, in verse 26, Jesus says: “I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.” This is what Jesus came to do and what he is still doing even today. He is making the Father known to us. In John 14:6 Jesus says: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Jesus spent three years with his disciples during which, he openly told them about the Father. Jesus showed them that the Father loves all people in the same way that he loves Jesus. He also showed them that the disciples can now freely come to the Father, exactly like Jesus.

In spite of all that the disciples had seen and heard, they did not fully understand this. Jesus said just before he went to the cross: “You know the way to the place where I am going” (John 14:4). Thomas had to admit, on behalf of all the disciples, that they had no idea where Jesus was going. In the next chapters Jesus once again explains about the Father, until finally in chapter 16 verse 29 the disciples say: “Now you are speaking clearly and without figures of speech.” Jesus had remained on earth until the disciples received a revelation of the Father in their hearts. After the resurrection Jesus meets Mary. He repeats his words even to her, saying: “Go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God‘” (John 20:17).

Our deepest desire is that everyone might know in their hearts this truth: that Jesus has opened the way to the loving Father, that the Father loves us unconditionally and that, today, we can live in the glorious freedom of the sons and daughters.

We believe that in these days God is revealing himself as a Father. We believe that this revelation and understanding of the Father is a great prophetic word for this generation, both to the church and to the world. Our conferences and “Experiencing Father’s Love” schools are for you to receive a personal revelation and understanding of God as your Father. The basis of receiving this revelation and understanding is through the heart. It cannot be received just intellectually, it must captivate our heart. Because God – our Father – is love, receiving this revelation means our ability to receive love needs to expand.

During the conferences and schools you will receive biblical teaching of God as your Father. Generally our experience has been based around two revelations/understandings: firstly Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, the Bridegroom and King; and secondly the Holy Spirit as a power in us. These two revelations are essential, wonderful and continually being revealed to us in increasing depth and importance. But now God is revealing himself as a Father. His timing is “today”. Like many other great revelations about God, this restores the foundations of our hearts and brings about a life-changing transformation in our personal understanding of God and the Bible. We want to share with you this foundational revelation of a biblical view of Christianity: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Pekka Daniel & Marjut Rimpeläinen

Executive leaders of Fatherheart Finland

Pekka Daniel and Marjut carry in their hearts a revelation for the restoration of nations, generations and families. They long to see the turning of the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers. Pekka Daniel and Marjut have experienced this transformation in their own hearts and in their family. They have received a revelation of sonship: what it means to walk the way Jesus did. Now their passion is to walk as a son and a daughter to the Father. They long to see the whole church living in the glorious freedom of the children of God and experiencing the Kingdom of God on earth. They say that Christianity is a matter of the heart and Father’s love can be experienced. Love is a substance that can be tasted, touched and experienced. The reality of the unconditional love of the Father is the only thing that can change the heart which is the source of life.

Both the parents of Pekka Daniel and Marjut were church pastors and spiritual leaders and so from an early age they have been involved in church life and have had many responsibilities in church. They got married in 1979 and now have two adult daughters.

Pekka Daniel and Marjut have many hobbies. In winter Pekka Daniel likes cross country skiing. During summer they love to spend time by the sea with their caravan and they also enjoy city holidays. They like to play badminton together as a family. They cherish time with their daughters and sons-in-law having fun, watching movies and playing board games. Marjut enjoys interior design together with her daughters. One of Pekka Daniel’s hobbies is woodwork and he is looking forward to the day when he has his own workshop.

Pekka Daniel was in business for 15 years, in marketing and management roles. He has carried a calling for ministry in his heart since his youth and has been in full time ministry since 1990. He pastored several churches over 19 years. James Jordan visited Finland several times between 2003 –2006 and it was then that Pekka Daniel and Marjut received the revelation of God as their Father and had an experience of being Father’s greatly beloved children. Their ministry changed radically because of this experience. During these years a deep heart connection was established between James and Pekka Daniel.

Now Pekka Daniel teaches in Fatherheart Ministries schools and (together with Marjut) ministers the revelation of the love of the Father. They have been leading Fatherheart Finland since 2009.
